VERY DEEP LOUISE IT IS OVER THE TOP OF MY WELLIES WHEN I'M FEEDING THE BIRDS. I HAVE TO PUT HANGERS ABOUT MY CLOTHES ROTARY NOW AS TOO DIFFICULT TO GET TO THE ONES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GARDEN!

Is this a normal amount of snowfall for there ?
Snow over the wellies ..... argh !
I think that's a great idea to use the rotary line for the feeders.

Not really normal it has been a few years since this amount and length of time! we have had heavy snow and freezing conditions since before christmas about the 20th. Also We are very high up so we also get drifts of the fields which makes the roads a nightmare. Normally it melts with a few days and a week at most. This is really different ( more like we had in my childhood) before global warming!
Yes the birds were really busy trying to feed today as we had more snow this afternoon and i manage to the drier as not far from back door also if they get used to feeding there. i can open door and throw if it gets any worse!!
