Robin on Snow on Forsythia

lovely photo Muddy. its lovely to see so much wild life in the garden, isnt it? this cold weather is bringing them in to the bird feeders. I always think a garden has just got to have its resident robin

I agree Mageth, a Robin hopping around your feet while you dig in the garden, gives you a 'real' connection with nature.

Thanks Sandra and Carol, although I put various foods out, the birds don't hang around very long in the garden. I think it's because there's no cover growing in the garden yet and they do need somewhere to dive into and feel safe. So hopefully as the year progresses and things grow, they're trust will grow too. :-)

im sure they will keep coming back muddy if your feeding them, and will watch your garden grow with you and like you say feel safe

Fantasic shot of the Robin. I found our little garden Robin frozen to death on Saturday, couldn't give him/her a decent burial as the ground was too hard. :o(
