Faerie....Aretas A. Saunders writes that "The song of the cardinal is one of the most distinctive and pleasing of American bird songs. The notes are delivered in a loud, somewhat reedy whistle." He adds, "Consant sounds, both explosive and liquid, are prominent, and include phrases such as whitcheeah or toolit or tayo, or to to to to to. The individual bird has many songs, all the way up to seven."
So the answer to your question is Yes!
Mageth, Sixpence and Milky...this breed of cardinal is the one with the brightest red going! even the female (although brownish) has highlights of red (on her wings, tail) and a bold, reddish crest on her head!
