This hasty silhouette is in memory of an old friend 'Wol' who was a semi-tame tawny owl who used to perch on my hand or shoulder and catch mice in my Dad's shed for a living.
I had to train him back to the wild in 1967 as I was joining the Army, and this was the parting view.
