Will we ever get out?

Oh dear you have still got lots ours as all gone now thank goodness, cant stand the stuff, hope it does'nt stay to long for you.

Perfect snow for that! I might need to strap on my skis to fetch the mail at the road in the valley.

Lol Elke, as they are trying to get rid of our royal mail we too will be soon collecting our own mail instead of having it delivered.

Enjoy it why it lasts. Spring is just around the corner and then summer and very soon it will be winter again so enjoy each season as it comes it may be that the next season is our last. Sorry if that sounds miserable but that is how it is and that is how I feel.

Oh we have it delivered, Sixpence - but only to the bottom of the drive, at the road. We all have a rural mail box with a little flag that's raised when there's mail to be taken or that's been delivered. It's a long way down the drive and back up again, but good exercise each day.
Oh Toto, I'm sorry you sound a little sad today. I shall stop complaining about the snow and the weather and will enjoy the scenery it provides instead. Hope you find something to cheer you up very soon.

Thank you Elke. I have a few records of your namesake (Elke Brookes) she was and probably is still a great singer. I Listen to her sometimes and find that she has a way of saying things that can't always be expressed. I wonder if she is still around. I think the last time I heard of her she was putting on a show in Brentwood or Romford but I digress.

I'll take a listen on line. Dig out those albums and raise a glass or two to her. And think of warmer weather to come...
