The markings seem very vivid in a winter flowering, think the dyes don't saturate the patterns out as they would do in brighter light.

And who said you cant grow vandas in pots with no lights in northern europe on top of radiators with no humidifiers, 2 of mine have produced wicked flowers in January with a south facing window and 50% humidity.
