I don't use anything to keep predators away but I actively feed the birds so they may take some. I am organic and use a lot of natural home made compost and blood, fish and bone which I swear by and use on my gardens and recommend to my clients too. I also use tomato fertiliser on flowering plants on a regular basis, particularly in pots and containers.
