A baleful, unrelenting, doom-laden crown of thin, cruel whips, with a floral hint of a merciful outcome, over-tops this poignant scene, ready to put an end to the beautiful romance and lives of the two young lovers. The gifts of love and the trophies of strife - a bitter-sweet horror-mix from the hand of Fate. A theme so oft repeated. 'The waters wild went o'er his child, and he was left lamenting.' (Lord Ullin's daughter) A beautifully and thoughtfully constructed powerful floral presentation echoing the real world.
