My partner sure does have plenty of these plants. He has around 60 to 70 different colors and cultivars. There are also several different hybrid Hoyas mixed in.

Hoya's can be tricky. Some need to be kept moist at all times and others like to dry out quite a bit between waterings. There are many different species of hoyas so it's best to know that particular plants watering and light needs. Many Hoya growers like to use a lot of peat moss in their soil mixture. I usually repot a Hoya as soon as I bring it home and I leave out the peat moss. If it gets too soggy it can lead to root rot and if the peat moss is allowed to dry out too much it's very hard to get it to stay moist again.

I had a Hoya carnosa that used to drip nectar... need to find another. It was given to me by a friend and I had it for ten years... when I moved I passed it along to another friend... Their scent is wonderful too.
