They are very clever and creep in during the night, in fact I think it may only be one small one. I have never seen it but when the snow was on the ground there were lots of small footprints on the lawn.

It could be Ray, as I say i've never seen one but there are little deposits all over the lawn.

They are famous for their bark...maybe you have heard them though not seen them !

Apparently the RHS now receives almost as many inquiries about Deer as it does about Rabbits ! A 6ft fence is the only deterrrent. Muntjac are fairly indiscriminate as to what they will eat in your garden, they will go for anything ! The Deer Society estimates there could be around 1.5 million in the UK . Sorry to hear you're plants have been nibbled Bob. I've never seen a Muntjac, I'll visit the website Megan to check out our area.

I think these are ordinary Deer, we are surrounded by so many woods, in this area and they run wild and are all over the Crown Estates.

What can you do though ? Presumably you have a problem keeping them out of the garden ?
