Messy...messy... I have four piles of dried twigs to burn in the firepit.

Looks fine and tidied. Ready for another summer of growth.

will have to post some before and after pics of the composting area...I dug up the years of composted leaves and twigs...it's a lovely friable (very organic) mix of leaf mould, sand, twigs and composted kitchen (veg.) scraps. Then I took six roots from the raspberry canes that emmigrated under the fence(into a perennial border) from the neighbour...and put them in the new bed behind the shed ... they're settling in nicely. Time to reset these bricks...the work is never done.

Thanks Sanbaz. ( I wrote a blog entitled Pond Slogging!) Getting to my present pond was a challenge. All the while I was dithering about the pond my poor little fishes had to live in the cramped aq. with the nymphaea....they were very relieved when I finally finished.

im sure they were but got through it ok thankfully ;o))
