Squirrel in bottle feeder

Interesting feeder. Is it comforting to them to be protected in a tight spot with their food, like their hybernating dens I wonder. Seems like not a care in the world and you have cats! :-)

They whip in & out of there in a flash, believe me! That's why I had to shoot this from inside the kitchen - by the time I get out there she would have been out again! It keeps the birds from stealing the peanuts in the shells and keeps the squirrels away from the other feeders for a bit...most of the time. However I have had a starling be adventurous enough to clamber inside to feed as well...
