My goodness, is this growing outside and now? This is very unusual, I thought it was a tropical plant and grow indoors.

Think, it's Dracunculus vulgaris. It has leaves and flowers simultaneously. Also it has a stem.
And the Titan Arum (Amorphophallus titanum) has leaves and flowers not at the same time, doesn't have stem...
Welcome to GoY! :)

Uma= you have got it, the stink lily, same family as the Titan then. I thought it unusual that the Titan was growing outdoors also it only flowers once in it's lifetime, i think!

I know Rusty and he doesnt come on the pc very often, but all I know is that he bought this bulb at a show for a bit of fun, and I dont think he knew what it was. But it was grown outdoors and it did stink. The picture was taken 2 years ago. It did come up last year but didnt flower. Quite impressive isnt it.
