Arisaema Siokianum. This plant is not yet visible but I have checked and they are starting into growth below soil ! So excited that they have survived this cold winter . Like raised cobra heads with a prominent central spadix in a chocolate (yummy ! ) brown color with a cream centre . This photograph is from last year 2009 .

I was wondering what to do with my A. ringens - they too are expensive to replace so I thought maybe I should just dig them up. But I've been told they'll begin to spread with time so I'm sort of reluctant to do so. I suppose it's better than losing them, though.

They are lovely unfortunatly the last two winters have destroyed all the varietes i had, some had been with me 20 years problem is they are expensive to replace if we going to loose them next winter .I suppose the only answer is to keep them almost dry and frost free.another thing to remember!
