Well. it's a start! I pulled out thistles, found some trellises for the clematis and planted a few bits and bobs.

Still figuring out which of the plants I brought with me might be good for a "splash". Right now I'm just trying to rid the garden of the weeds and garbage also start thinking of marking out beds in the back. If you have any suggestions for a good "wow" to add I'd be glad to hear your ideas.

A little suggestion is to plant, Ferns and Hostas for back bone, then in fill the gaps with Lupins, Fox gloves and a bright blue Delphinium. Plant at the front a few bright orange French Marigolds. The corner near the steps put in a Rudbeckia Goldstrum for Autumn brightness.
Good luck post your pic of what ever you do.

I like that! I have lots of hostas still to plant, they are temporarily standing on the flower bed on the opposite side to this one until I get that weeded and pruned. I'll post pictures as I progress.
