There is another named Jet Trail. Oyashima has double white flowers and Toya Nishiki can have red, pink and white flowers at the same time. I do not have any of them.

I had an orangey one in my previous garden. It was a dwarf variety I think . It died when I moved here :o(

I think they are lovely flowers and sometimes you get a second flush towards the end of the year. They all have fruit too.

Yes aren't they called quince ?

Yes they are. Japanese Quince. When I first got interested in gardening a knowledgable friend told me to learn the latin names of plants or I would end up with a lot of inferior stuff I did not want. Her husband gave me my first quince a red one, Crimson & Gold, which I still have. The fruit has more Vit C than oranges and you can make marmalade from them.They also have very high levels of pectin, needed to set jam.

I've heard of quince jelly but never tasted it.
I like to learn the latin names aswell.
