This one is a variety called 'Obelisk', smaller & narrower than the typical Amelanchier so is well suited to restricted space. I planted it about 6 years ago and it has only put on 2-3 feet so should not reach for the sky in a hurry. The blossom is very attractive and the red berries in late summer are much sought after by the local blackbirds. JB
