Tropical, rosette-forming plants absorb food and mositure through their leaves. Dense, cylindrical or conical shaped inflorescence in different colors appear in centers during summer. Bromeliads need warm temperatures year round. Plant in porous, spongy soil mixture.
Full sun to part shade
Size varies
keep soil moist but do not let plants sit in standing water
Protect from temperatures below 59 degrees F
Fertilize 2 to 3 times with low-nitrogen fertilizer from spring to fall
