The water feature i designed and built to compliment the courtyard.
The tree to the left of the picture is a Wolomi pine a leftover from the time of the dinosaurs. Discoverd by bushwalkers in 1994 20 miles outside Sydney. It is one of the worlds oldest and rarest trees. The oldest known fossil is 90 million years old.
There is only one stand of these trees left in the world and it's location is a closely guarded secret.
Seeds are collected by a ranger being lowered on a line by helicopter into the tree tops, this is done to prevent walkers carring unwanted seeds or contaminants into the valley where these trees grow. A carefull and conrolled propagation programme is now in place to ensure their survival, and i am proud to say that i have one growing in my garden.
