Is that a pond and stream ?

Hi all - The previous owners built the pond which continues the width of the garden - there was a cute arched bridge over it but was rotten and fell apart. It is great and original in theory but with a now 5 and 2yr old a bit worrysome so we've been racking our brains for a solution that keeps the originality but makes it safe whilst putting our stamp on it. We are in the process of making the stream part a 'rill' with pebbles and the pond we have just picket fenced it. The area has major decking (wanted an arty look). Am still in the process of uploading pics. Will do some more tonight so you can see how its taking shape.......hope you approve. Any further ideas always gratefully recieved.......:)
