These are excellent climbers. Is this a new plant or an established one?

I specially like this because mine has died over the winter! Fortunately there are some seedlings hanging about. This one's a great colour.

hi its a new plant bought last month and I'm mightily impressed by it, hoping it will romp away

It will!!
If it's in a sheltered area then it may survive the winter too.

you know this did survive the -18 winter temp and the couple of ft of snow in the winter.. I flowered again in March for me too. However its not doing 100% lately , such a shame..

Could it be too dry Madabout? They are brittle and can get snapped by wind too. Bit of a puzzler, as mine is growing and blooming profusely!

Yes I think you are rightthat I might need to water it as I remember I did last year ,but kind of forgot and left the poor thing to its own devices this spring.. Hopefully a little tlc will get it back to tiptop condition...
