How sad Lauram :(

She had tested negative for FeLV a year before, but then suddenly started getting sick. A retest had a positive result. Unfortunately, once they start showing symptoms there's not much that can be done. We went through blood transfusions and courses of meds and everything else. One day I left for work and she was fine, but I came home and she was dying. I sat with her until she passed. At the moment she died, I physically felt an overwhelming sense of peace, as if her suffering had left her and then passed through me. Then the air in front of me changed color & sort of glassed over, then it all dissipated and was gone. I believe that was her soul departing.
