Prunus triloba, the Rose Tree of China. A few live up at Gorgeson Bot. Garden. I've tried it once and I am going to try it again! I saw a few in a yard and that spurred me on.

TY! I know they come in at one greenhouse later in the year. At my nursery, I haven't found them yet, and it's trouble for my pocketbook, walking the rows of shrubs and perrenials there. :-)

I put one in a few years ago, but it was raised and didn't leaf up after spring blooms. I'm going to try it in the ground. TY for the offer Hywel. :-)
