ripe raspberries, nasturtiums on the hedge September 2007

goodness, those raspberries are early. Are the nasturtiums grown by your neighbour, or is that still your garden beyond the hedge? Looks really lovely.

I have added the date on this picture, for it is not taken this year, but in September 2007. At the moment we already have plenty of raspberries, but they certainly aren't ripe yet ;-) The nasturtiums grow by themselves, from seeds on the ground, neither we nor our neighbours have sown them. And beyond the hedge is not our garden, alas, but that from our lovely neighbours (who have a very beautiful garden, with lots of flowers ànd vegetables as well). There is quite some traffic going on over that hedge (from vegetables or fruit one has in abundance and the other hasn't).

Oh, how lovely, that sounds similar to our nextdoor neighbour here who sometimes needs to travel away and we get to look after her greenhouse, and "pinch" her veg now and again. And sometimes she comes and cuts our lawn or hedge in return if she has time : )) Good neighbours are wonderful.

I'm intrigued by those nasturtium. How did they get up there? Its a great look, would never have thought of nasturtium on a hedge!
