Bleeding hearts are happy but the hosta I tried from rootstalk is not growing well. Sadly, it was more costly than the plant plugs I found later

I plan on doing the same thing Grammazoo. I am going to use this site as my yearly diary. I am enjoying looking at all the new life in your beds. Mine will be at this stage in a couple of weeks.

its not boring at all grammazoo, its great to see the start of planting and then to see the same plants in full bloom a few weeks later.
