I haven't got a clue. I thought they might be some sort of 'imported' ladybirds, who knows....There were loads of them last year, not so many this year, not yet anyway.

Have a look at Beadle or Soldier Bug Hilda , in some localities they are known as Sailor Beetles .. they could be that .. .. Pyrrbocoris apterus ........

I have looked it up, and yes, they must be! Oef, what a relief. I almost thought they had taken over our native ladybirds...

They dont look like and seem much bigger than our ladybirds. Could they be a beetle?
