I've got a blue one as well, but it is fading in the sun, so have moved it to the shadenow. Do you take yours indoors or put in greenhouse for winter Steve. I have not had them before, so not sure what to do with them. Will have a look at your pics.

Its our 1st year with them aswell. There's not a great deal of info online about these so can't help you out really. A lot of people are saying once the flowering has stopped, prune right back to 4-6 inches above soil, top feed, keep in shade and you might get a 2nd flourish. Hasn't happened with ours but i've not had them in the shade. As for winter i'd say keep it in greenhouse or indoors. Long as it doesn't deal with freezing conditions it should be ok. Replant late March for spring blooms all over again.

Thanks Steve, thats what I will do. They are in large pots at the moment in shade, so I might leave them in pots for this year I think. Running out of space in the garden !

I found another blog online last night from someone who use to grow these before they was released in UK and he said the same about blooming twice but also said once its flowered both times then discard.
Here's the link if you wanted a read. Just copy 'n' paste into new browser.

I should do the same as gotta fence that need painting from the removed ivy. Our forecast has now changed from rain all day to NO rain and sunny intervals with a high of 19°C. Happy days. lol
