This is a little path I set into sharp sand about 3 weeks ago. The path leads to my greenhouse hardstanding (avert your eyes from the top left corner - this is the bit I'm supposed be slabbling today, but rain as however stopped play http://www.growsonyou.com/mrv/blog/10457-in-the-begining).
Behind it is a small raised bed for I use for sowing quick salad crops - and, starting off Leeks and Brasicas. The Sprouts and early sprouting Brocoli are about to come out.

Thank you again, Silverbelle. Looks nicer now that I have finished laying the paving behind it and removed the anti-fox chicken wire (he seems to have got bored digging it out now) ... the little sod.

The combination of the flags pebbles and gravel work really well.
