I have 2 of them Karen - sorry they are too high up to smell They flower for 3 months so are coming out just as the Laburnum finish. I also like the fact they are not too dense and let the light through.

It's beautiful Drc .. how old is this one ? i'm presuming they are not harmed by the frost !

They are 5-6 years old Amy, often grown as shrubs, I have never seen any frost damage, When trying to grow as trees they grow so fast that the weight of the branches can snap the tree in half this happened to both of mine. This one pictured - in the second year it broke almost in half, I bound up very tight and put sealant on it and it recovered as you can see. It has a large scare but its not facing the garden. The other one broke in half completely I cut it to the ground and to my joy it re grew I chose the straightest stem and removed all the others and now its also a lovely tree again.
