Thats a lot Karen you must love them? I have 8 now as 2 new ones last planted last year didnt make it.

Don't give up hope, they sometimes come back a couple of years later when you've forgotten them! :)

I got rid Karen - one was Alpina White columbine, I think that was dead from the start should have taken it back really but I planted it and hoped so this year I got rid.
I dont know about the size HB it seems very small to me for the type but perhaps its just this first bloom?

Yes, viticella flowers are much smaller than the large-flowered type 2 clematis (in general) although there are some viticellas that have medium sized flowers, most are quite dainty and some are bell shaped, but you get lots more of them!
