the Flower Thief's handiwork

You can see how this once-beautiful Rudbeckia has been cut down to half its height. I have no idea who destroyed my garden on Monday night. But if they want flowers, I'll give 'em flowers...I've planted more, will continue to plant more, and have set up a camera to catch this useless piece of garbage when he/she comes back to steal them.

It should, and so should the Gaura. I am so furious over this. It happened sometime between 8 PM Monday and 6:15 AM Tuesday. So someone was poking around my house at night cutting flowers. Doesn't make me feel very secure - this is the Meth Capital of GA as it is. I just hope he/she/they return for more - my trusty deer camera will catch them in the act.

Lets hope they just don't return. I suppose there are worse situations than just going for your garden. I'm glad you have the camera out to catch them should they return. Have you an alarm to alert you when the camera goes off or anything?

no, but I generally check the photos every day - it's kind of fun because I never know what sort of animal might wander up to the house. The camera WILL catch them - it's a Reconyx with a super-fast trigger speed & if a stray cat walks by at 3 am it'll pick it up. Just still pix, but it's so quick it's practically video.

If you get a pic of some crazy fool creeping about in the middle of the night cutting flowers, you must post......lol.

I was planning to! I also planned to make flyers and post them on every mailbox and telephone pole in the area.
