Thankyou Freesia. My garden is my sanctuary but I do find it difficult to keep all the weeds at bay these days. Lol. The garden is too big for me to manage really as my husband isn't into gardening.
The lab in my avatar was called Elsa and was the absolute love of my life. She was put to sleep last Oct at the ripe old age of 16 years and 1 month. I still miss her. :-(

Oh! how painful, that must have been for you Elless...it seems the longer they are with you, the harder it becomes, when you eventually lose them...
I do feel for you, Elsa looked such a sweet dog. I will not say anymore as words do not help anybody, i only hope that in time the pain will ease for you...

My previous lab was also 16 when we lost her and I actually I think it must be much harder to lose a younger dog. I was heartbroken when Elsa left us but I also felt very lucky that I was able to keep her for so long. I think I read that you lost your lab at a young 9years old. That must have been really heartbreaking.

Do all your Hostas have their own environmentally friendly dedicated slug guard . . . lol :-)

Yes they do MW. I have at least 2 frogs per Hosta and I get very little damage. Before we had the pond the few Hostas I had were devoured.
I do also go out on slug patrol once or twice a week on summer nights, to hunt down the little blighters.
