Native grass, grows on moors and bogs, likes acid soil. But growing happily in my pond in a foot of water! Lovely fluffy white seedheads held through summer. Behind it is the Bogbean - Menyanthes trifoliata, lovely white flowers in may - but a bit of a thug!

It's very pretty Hoya. I hope it isn't a thug, especially in a pond. We were at a function on an airfield yesterday, and there was vegetative fluff blowing across all the time, bowling the seeds on their way to new places.
