Paeony

Hasn't bothered it then, is it bowl of beauty? :-)

It was in the garden when we moved here, but I think it is bowl of beauty. This is not the first time I have moved paeonies, as when we came there were 6 plants, like soldiers in a line in a narrow border. We really made every effort to dig deep and take a massive root ball, and they have been fine.

Do you plant with the 'eyes' above or below soil level? :-)

My husband did the actual planting - I only supervised. I asked him to plant with the top of the root ball level with the soil surface and not to cover with any extra soil. Think planting too deep may cause problems. I have just noticed that in the place they came from a little shoot is coming through from a piece of root we must have left behind! That's a bonus.
