After a week of sweltering temperatures in the 90s with no rain, suddenly we have a severe thunderstorm warning with the promise of 60 mph winds, quarter sized hail and flash floods.

Oh, it was awful, but thankfully the dogs and cats and I were snug indoors. This house has a history of lightning strikes so I can't get too comfy when the weather's bad, but we didn't have any hail or tornadoes and the roof didn't leak, so I was happy!

I used to live north of Atlanta on a farm. i remember those storms. Now live in the summer in the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina and these storm come over almost every day. Never last long and the plants love the water. Also it
keeps the temperature down. Most day's in the 79's.
