Close up of Galley Blue Lupin

lovely steve, sorry im late but im not getting all my favs on time ,

S'ok Sandra. I forgive you but only coz its you! lol
The petals have started to die and turn a horrible brown colour. Not sure wether to pick 'em off or leave 'em!!
I've got a 1st stem coming up from the original lupin that I bought from B&Q. Its not a massive 1 though and running of a stem not from the base like these ones.
It's a little bit behind but better late than never. Might move it out into a full sun position.

i cut my flowers off when the brown gets so far up cause they look a mess dont you think steve, and normally get more smaller flowers comming after, keep some and dry out for seeds, then you could grow some

Sorry for late reply but not been on.
Have now cut this right back as its all finished now. Can't moan as we had a total of 10 stems which is good. B&Q one has just sprouted and small stem that has coloured. Get what you pay for! lol

lol no prbs steve, mine finished to, having a 18th party for my son end of august and im worried i wont have any flowers left by then ;o( wanted the garden to look nice as family havent seen it yet,

I thought flowers would last longer than they have. My longest lasting ones has been my Pansies, Viola, Snapdragons & Petunias all which are annuals. Sods law that you have to buy them again next year! Will def get Pans & Petunias to do my baskets with. Not sure about other annuals!!

yes your right steve, im going to look for something which is late summer flowering at weekend, hope i find something.
