Hagley Hybrid Clematis

Shame there are only couple of buds on this. The other is far from blooming. Probably another 2-3 weeks at least on the size of the bud

I love the colour of this one Steve, Ive added 3more Clemati's this year, 2 are growing really well, with no sign of buds yet and 1 flowered within 2 weeks of planting but it is only 2 feet high, its at the back of the border so there hidden, but next year should be better.

Yes def better next year. Apparantly been a bad year for clematis due to longest winter i've been told. I've had 3 die on me this year for god knows what reason!

Thanks Lin. Didn't last to long though. Had a few smaller buds open this week on it. Hoping for better next year

Perhaps you will get a second lot of blooms later in the year Steve. Lets hope so. Its so pretty.

Hope so. Just cut off a load of dead stems to see if that encourages more buds to appear!
