Grown indoors and taken out to garden June>early September
Sharp spines on stems
Flowers annually, sometimes twice if we have a sunny spring
Immature stem growth is cylindrical and seem to have a crawling attitude.
Mature stems are triangulate in cross section, tend to the vertical, with flowers growing in late Spring from same locations as the spines, with very robust new flower stems
Huge flowers, relative to plant size, can be as much as 6ins long by 5ins wide 8)
