We only really decided on the pond about 2 months ago, but definitely knew we didnt want any fish. Just want to attract some wildlife to our garden. We filled it 2 days ago and a kind neighbour has already donated some bog plants and water soldiers. I've ordered some oxygenators and some creeping Jenny (which I believe will spread around the pond and fill in the gaps around the edge). We've already got a pond skater which is fascinating to watch, and we have lots of bats in the area, so hope they'll visit too!
Its been a lovely day and we have just sat gazing at the pond (dog included).
We've not really bothered with our garden since moving in 12 years ago, but now the boys are older and we dont need goal nets and toys out there we've decided to put some hard effort in and make it a place that we can actually sit in and admire.
