Just showing to the right is the start of a paved area for sitting then going up the garden a little farther and to the right is the begining of the path that leads through the arbour and back round to the upper garden.

Thanks Yorkshire, Shirley and Cinderella, it was hard work taking all the old broken bricks up and like an idiot I smothered myself in sun screen but unfortunately where my top and trousers parted company (not quite a builders bum ) I got quite burned and am still suffering......argh.

Your garden is beautiful Stroller. I do love a garden like this with a lovely path to wander down and no lawn to cut!! I also like a garden with a nice lawn...always in two minds me! This is lovely though! :)

Thanks Karen, I took the top and bottom lawns up about two years ago as I hated mowing and edging them. But I wish I still had them, doesn`t seem the same without a bit of grass.
