Fuchsia "Autumnale"
Comments on this photo
To be honest, i'm not sure, yet. I purchased one for the colour of the leaves. Most Fuchsias on the displays were in flower, but this one wasn;t. Perhaps it;s grown for the leaf colour?
There might be someone that grows Fuchsias that could let us know, if they have grown this variety?

That's interesting, i would be surprised if it doesn't have any flowers at all. Perhaps it is grown for the leaf colour, not the flowers - like the Begonia Rex are (they flower, but only have small flowers).
I shall watch the plant i have to see if it does have any flowers.

Autumnale does produce small orange flowers eventually but it is grown for the impact of its bright contrasting foliage. It looks good in a mixed basket or tub. I had it for a couple of years but lost it over the severe winter

Thanks for that information. I shall look forward to seeing my plant flower.

I like this one, recently purchased one myself. Must be something to do with the leaf colours, i would think.
