Thank you Dido, nice to see someone from South Yorkshire on this site. I was born in South Yorkshire, a little village called Wentworth. It has a lovely garden centre where the cricket ground used to be.

Welcome to GoY,
Thank you Gwenvokes, pleased you like it, it has been hard work so far this summer with the watering (hosepipe) we are getting a drop of rain today, and I mean it is a drop, but it all helps. Cannot remember the last time it rained here in our part of the world, hope it keeps coming but don't keep my hopes too high, think it is just spit or spat for a couple of hours and then it will disappear into the North Sea. Ah well then, will have to get out the hosepipe again.

Hi Nannymargaret, pleased you are back with us, the tallest chimney pot has a planter in it with some form of Sedum in it - don't ask which one, because I can never remember names, will try and find the label. How is the weather with you in Essex, we got some rain for last two days, keep going out and doing bits in between downpours. Have planted up the newest border with the hardy geraniums just have to wait now until back end of year for putting the roses in. Happy Gardening - Barbara (my proper name) Olive is my middle name, my grandmother was Olive, think that is where I get my love of gardening from.
