Thanks Michaella. Glad you like it. Its an evergreen clematis called Cartmanii joe. We bought this last year and was a bit worried with all the snow whether it would survive, but it was fine. It gets absolutely loaded with blooms, and has a very unusual leaf, it is a bit like a marigold leaf.

Yes, I,ve seen quite a few of them on GOY, but with different names, but they all look the same as mine. It was worth every penny I paid for it. I think it was £9.99. Homebird I have got it planted in the ground with the roots well shaded, they like the heads in the sun and roots well shaded.Is yours in the garden or pot?

I've just ordered 3 'Winter Beauty' Clematis and these are evergreen . They are white but a different shaped flower. Yes thats a good idea Homebird to plant something to shade the roots or put slate or pebbles around it.
