A photo of a Monarda flower head forming. This is having a really good year (if a little later than usual).
We do find them quite invasive, although everyone always seems happy to receive a clump for their gardens.

Thanks guys.
Janette - it was a bright day & I was struggling a bit so I switched to manual mode. This was the best shot of the bunch, which bizarrely was taken using flash to add highlights.

You,d have thought the colour would have come out a bit over powering with the flash as well as the sunshine Meanie I always find if I use the flash outside everything comes out a strange colour ....What make of camera do you use ,your photos are alway so beautiful ....

I have a Nikon - I underexposed the shot and used the flash compensation too.
It's good when you have time to play, but the recycle bin does get quite full too. At least it doesn't cost an arm and a leg in developing to find out what works and what doesn't!!!

Clever .... just as well we dont need to pay for developing I dont think I could afford it I take so many photo,s ,and most of them end up in the recycle bin.....

Me neither - I couldn't afford the ones which don't get binned!!!!
I liked the use of flash on this as it highlighted the different textures on the flower head.
