That is so beautiful!! Are orchids as difficult to look after as I've heard?

Hi maple - no no no! I think there are basic rules e.g. find the right positio for them and don't move them around, , water with rain or cold boiled water, feed with correct food, follow Joey's excellent advice about cutting off after spike flowers. Mine flower continuously throughout the year (Moth orchids - 'Phalaenopsis'). You can buy them at supermarkets cheaper than Nurseries!! Try one!

Will definately give them a go then!! I have written down yours and Gill's advice so fingers crossed!!
