Terrace on the island

Of the two gardens on islands in Lake Maggiore, we preferred this one. (The other is Isola Bella). The island has its own microclimate and is able to grow plants not hardy elsewhere. The flowers and shrubs were beautiful and of course the views from the island of the surrounding mountains are spectacular! There are other gardens to visit in the vicinity, all easily accessible by boat.Do go if you are planning a holiday in Italy!
