New plant collection!

We don't know what we're going to go with our garden yet. A family friend donated lots of plants for us, so we've planted them into bigger pots, ready for planting out ... whenever that'll be! We have 8 sapling rowans, rhubarb, strawberries, weigelias, deutzias, astilbes, dogwoods, hostas, heucheras, tree peonys and lots of other things I can't identify!

Oh, how exciting...a new home and a brand new blank canvas! I know just how you feel....it's a bit daunting to begin with. At first, it didn't feel like 'mine' and I was a bit feeble about digging out the lawn etc. Once I got stuck in though, there was no stopping me! Same feeling I used to get with a blank sheet of paper when painting...it just lasted a lot longer!

The smoke bush (cotinus) that you've just had ID'd will grow into a sizeable plant, quite impressive.
