26 April 2001. My parents grow them to eat the corms. They are good for your diet because they have almost no calories. But they may not be to everybody's taste.. my husband doesn't like them :(

Nealy no taste LOL :) Therefore, you need to eat it with something on it, popular option being miso (soybean paste), or stew it with other things. Some people make jelly.

I planted an Amorphophallus bulbifer this year. It shouldn't bloom until next year. I didn't know the corms were edible.

Pretty~, unlike my parents' LOL :)
This needs to be dug up before it gets cold.
