The W T C two weeks before it was attacked...
This photo has got nothing to do with gardening, but because we'd been there, seen how big they were, we felt really involved. We were devastated. (We went to London two weeks after the bomb attacks on the tube and the bus, and were again devastated! I was also a bit anxious.)

A friend of a friend worked in the towers, but didn't make it to work that day because her dog bit a neighbor and she had to go to the emergency room with her. No one in her department made it out alive. My cousin worked in one of the other buildings that fell and had called out sick that morning. Lucky people.

Hilda, my sons girlfriend was due to get on the bus the day the bomb went off but decided to walk because the traffic was bad and she didnt want to be late for college !!! Someone was watching over her that day!
