There was a picture of this with dead looking leaves, when i first turned the greenhouse up. Those leaves fell off, and now it looks as good as new. (Purchased as Midnight Magic).

I really like this one

I think it's a lovely plant, but as it's so dark it wouldn't show up if i put it on the stand with the other plants - but it should be ok to display by itself. Even if i only grow it myself in the greenhouse and don't show it - i think it's worth keeping.

I have had an obsevation sent to me very kindly by Terry Tasker to correctly name this plant. It was purchased off the ebay site some time ago now and was labeled as "Midnight Magic".
I have corrected the name to: B."Black Night".

Who is Terry Tasker? I have been trying to name a black Begonia. It is not Taffeta as it has the pink pattern on the leaf like yours. I will check Black Night and Midnight Magic.

Terry and Shirley Tasker are experts with this type of Begonia. I know that they had a website where this type of Begonia could be purchased. I did hear they were retiring, i have no idea whether they did.
The National Begonia Society refers to them sometimes in their bulletin booklet.

Hi Mark
I have taken another photograph of my Begonia and put it into 'Questions'. Have a look and see if you think it is the same as yours. The friend who gave it to me has been keen to find out what this Begonia is called for years.
Thanks Linda
